Life Adjustment Counselling offers mobile/home visit counselling services to adults seeking support, including adults receiving NDIS, NIISQ, Veterans, & Aged Care funded supports/packages in the comforts of their own home or in the community of your choosing.
The service provides counselling and support to adults with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment to disability and injury, isolation/loneliness, and grief & loss.
Specialises in hearing impairment & loss, pre & post operative cochlear implantation counselling, support & strategies for all ages.
Service Approach
Life Adjustment Counselling takes a holistic approach to counselling - focussing on mind, body, and spirit. Sessions are one on one to build a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship which empowers individuals to face challenges and achieve better life outcomes.
About Life Adjustment Counselling Services
Meet Damien
Damien is a qualified Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work, Registered Member with the AASW, and over 20 years of experience within the Disability, Aged Care, and Mental Health sectors (both federal & state government departments and not for profit organisations).
Damien also has a lived experience of a hearing disability and currently a Social Worker within the Aged Care sector as well providing Life Adjustment and Counselling support.
Damien's counselling expertise is in Hearing Impairments. Damien is able to support and discuss with individuals numerous hearing strategies eg social and environmental positioning, pre and post operative cochlear implantation preparedness and expectation; and generalised counselling due to hearing loss.
Damien also supports Defence Community members and provides counselling to Veterans who wish to chat with another bloke about current and post service life adjustments.
His extensive professional background allows him to provide compassionate and tailored support to individuals facing various life challenges.
